Work is finally set to begin on a $35 million apartment development that will help address the “serious shortage” of affordable housing in inner Sydney. 

Construction for the project that will provide 99 homes for low to middle-income earners was launched at the Cowper Street Glebe redevelopment precinct on Thursday.

Save the date - October 28th 2017!  @uptownfestival returns this spring

UPtown Festival: Our Stories is a celebration of the Ultimo and Pyrmont community and their stories, music, dance, food, art and culture. The festival ran for 31 years until 2012, and this year the Pyrmont Ultimo Network of Services (PUNS) is excited to be bringing it back. It will be held on Saturday, October 28th, 2017 from 11am-5pm.

The festival will have two stages for performances from a variety of talented artists. This includes local choirs and bands, Aboriginal performances, a Flamenco performance, a DJ, and bands on the main stage, as well as performances for children on the kid’s…

The new program, officially launched on International Women's Day, has been developed for community housing providers, to help strengthen approaches to domestic and family violence and older women's homelessness.

We were joined by representatives from NSW Federation of Housing, Domestic Violence NSW, Homelessness NSW and the Older Women's Studio Development project to learn about the new tool.
