City West Housing hosted City of Sydney Councillors and their staff at our Ironbark Apartments in Forest Lodge today to showcase one of our recent affordable housing developments in the City of Sydney LGA and how we tenancy manage our properties to support residents in their lives.
Councillors Sylvie Ellsmore, William Chan, Lyndon Gannon, Shauna Jarrett and a representative for Councillor Yvonne Weldon toured the property, had the opportunity to ask questions, and visited a resident in her apartment.
Erica, who works in medical research, has lived in the apartments since they were completed in July 2020. She was able to explain what living in affordable rental housing meant to her and how she has built a sense of community in the area.
The award-winning apartments were partly funded by City West Housing winning a tender to purchase the land from the City of Sydney.
