GRANDPARENTS DAY
City West Housing, The City of Sydney and Uniting Care Harris Community Centre worked in partnership to deliver Grandparents Day which was held on October 23.
NSW Grandparents Day is a state funded initiative celebrating the vital role that grandparents play in our society. As custodians of individual and cultural memories, providers of care and love to their children and grandchildren, Grandparents Day recognises the irreplaceable role grandparents have in their families and in the wider community.
Special guest speakers were:
- NSW Grandparents Day Ambassador,
- Founder of Find a Grandparent,
- GOLD Opal Card presentation and
- NSW Police on Domestic Violence and White Ribbon Day.
