As Chief Executive Officer, Leonie is in charge of City West Housing and works with the Management team and Board of Directors to meet our purpose – to build stronger communities and improve people’s lives by providing affordable housing. She has over two decades of senior executive experience in the government and non-government sectors.
Leonie has specialised in social and affordable housing and disability services in roles such as policy, strategy, program and regulatory design, statutory planning and community and affordable housing industry development. Leonie is currently a Director on the Board of the national industry body, Community Housing Industry Association (CHIA).
Qualifications:Â BA (Accounting), CA
As Chief Financial Officer, Michelle is responsible for all financial management, compliance and corporate services for City West Housing, and is our Company Secretary. She has worked nearly two decades in the property industry and over three decades in accounting roles across sectors including property, building materials and recruitment services including six years with a global chartered accounting firm. Michelle has specialised in real estate development and management, corporate finance, strategic planning and acquisitions.

With over 20 years of end-to-end development experience working for public, private and government developers, Lisa is City West Housing’s Head of Development, responsible for driving and delivering all phases of property development from acquisition to construction completion. Lisa has extensive experience across multiple residential sectors including urban renewal, mixed use, community housing, retirement living and the build-to-rent sectors in Australia and the United States.
Qualifications: Diploma of Project Management
As City West Housing’s Head of Assets, Jon ensures all our buildings are maintained to a high standard and meets the needs of our residents. Jon has over 15 years’ experience in residential and commercial asset management. He began his career in 2007 in the UK, delivering all aspects of maintenance services for several social housing providers.
Qualifications: BA (Community Development)
Lisa has over 18 years’ senior experience in for-purpose organisations. Prior to working at City West Housing, Lisa spent five years at Wesley Mission as the strategic and operational Head of Community Housing. During this time, Lisa oversaw portfolio growth of over 50%, including into new types of housing and new locations.
She is responsible for ensuring City West Housing provides quality services to our applicants and residents including assessing applications, allocating homes, managing tenancies and overseeing community engagement programs.
Helena provides support to the operational areas of the business as well as managing the City West Housing office and supporting the CFO with corporate services functions. She has a strong administration background and over 10 years of experience in executive support and office management.
Kamal leads key strategic projects and embeds project management methodology which supports internal capability building and in turn, the achievement of City West Housing’s strategic objectives. She has a background in improving service delivery with over eight years of experience in coaching and building capability.
