AQUALAND LEAD CONSORTIUM SHORTLISTED FOR WATERLOO METRO QUARTER DEVELOPMENT
Fast growing Australian property company Aqualand has been shortlisted for the next phase of the NSW State Government’s Waterloo Metro Quarter Development, the Request for Tender stage (RFT). Aqualand’s team includes CPB Contractors and community housing partner, City West Housing.

Since its establishment in 2014, Aqualand has grown a significant portfolio of projects, and are now well underway in implementing a new long-term strategy, creating a significant appetite for large-scale, master-planned and long-term State significant projects. The Waterloo Metro Quarter will be integrated with the new Waterloo Station and will deliver new homes, shops, community services and a new public plaza. The site will be a new hub in the diverse community it will serve.
Just 700m walk from Redfern Station to the north and 880m to Green Square Station to the south, the proposed development will comprise approximately 700 new homes above and adjacent to the new Waterloo Station, due to open to the public in 2024. The Waterloo Metro Quarter will deliver up to 10% affordable housing and 70 social housing dwellings as part of the new community.
Waterloo Metro Quarter will feature approximately 4000sqm of locally focused retail and approximately 9000sqm of commercial space, shared offices and health services.
Aqualand has brought together a multi-award-winning design team for the project that includes Architects Tzannes, Turner, Silvester Fuller, GHD and Oculus.
