City West Housing has partnered with Youngster.co to deliver a 12-week pilot program for senior residents.
As part of our Ageing in Place strategy, the tech foundations 12-week course will allow our older residents to get friendly tech help and training from a local, savvy youngster to get them up to speed with all things technology.
The program also aims to bridge the gap between the older and younger generations.
The program will:
- Give residents personalised assistance with technology
- Teach residents to use their device to stay connected with friends and family
- Build the residents’ confidence in using their digital device
- Allow older residents to share their life skills and experiences with local young people
