SecondHand Saturday is back on 3rd June 2017 from 9am to 1pm at the usual location Quarry Green Ultimo. See the poster attached below for more details.
SecondHand Saturday is a community garage sale event promoting reusing, recycling and caring for the environment. If you or anyone is interested in having a stall, there are still spaces available.
Celebrating the United Nation’s World Environment Day coming up on 5 June, SecondHand Saturday not only enables Ultimo and Pyrmont community members to sell, swap or give away pre-loved items, but also provides a space for locals to meet and connect with their neighbours.
Local organisations will be running community information stalls to help you live greener, reduce waste and improve the environment for your own community.
At SecondHand Saturday, you can:
- Bring along your friends, browse through a variety of stalls and take home some pre-loved treasures
- Enjoy a sausage sizzle and live music
- Watch a worm farming demonstration that is fun for kids and helps reduce kitchen waste
- Pick up some freebies and chat to educators at the community information stalls about walking and cycling in the city, recycling facilities around you, composting and worm farming, growing your own herbs and veggies, and so much more!
Please call the Harris Community Centre on 9552 1140 to book a stall or if you would like more information.
Let's make it a wonderful opportunity to showcase the Harris Community Centre and Mustard Seed and show our friendly face to the community!
