On 27 May 2025 during National Reconciliation Week, City West Housing launched its second Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), our Innovate RAP.Â
As an organisation deeply rooted in providing essential housing solutions for diverse communities, we recognise the importance of acknowledging and respecting the rich cultural heritage of Australia’s First Nations peoples.
Our Innovate RAP builds on our work under the Reflect RAP, so that we can ensure lasting and impactful change. It was developed with input and guidance from our First Nations stakeholders, our Leadership team, the RAP Working Group and other staff.

City West Housing CEO, Leonie King was thrilled to celebrate the organisation’s second Reconciliation Action Plan at a staff morning tea, following its official endorsement by Reconciliation Australia.
“We have a long way to go before reconciliation is embedded in our DNA, but I am proud to officially launch our Innovate RAP, a plan which will take us that bit further along the path.
“As we continue our work, this Innovate RAP reaffirms our commitment to reconciliation, not as an isolated project on the workplan but as an integral part of our mission. We want current and future City West Housing employees to see reconciliation not merely as a policy, but as a living reality, deeply woven into the fabric of our work and the communities we serve.”
