City West Housing is thrilled to announce the lucky winners of this year’s Rent Competition.
Congratulations to first prize winner Wendy who received a gift card worth $500, and to Suzanne and James who was each awarded a $250 gift card.
Wendy, who lives in Ultimo and has been a City West resident for over 10 years, said she was shocked when her Housing Manager informed her that she had been drawn as the first winner.
“I hadn’t set out to enter the Rent Competition, but I’ve been paying a little extra each week to get ahead with my rent for a while. So winning the competition was a pleasant surprise!”
Wendy works in hospitality and her work hours are not always the same every week. This is why she prefers to pay a bit extra into her rent account whenever she can.
“It gives me peace of mind. I feel better knowing that my rent’s covered, particularly when I have unexpected expenses come in.”
Wendy is grateful for her prize, which she’ll use to buy food and other essentials.
“It will come in very handy, especially now with the rising cost of living!”
