Successful Aspire Education Fund applications

Congratulations to all the residents whose applications for the new Aspire Education Fund were successful. We will be funding 15 requests in 2023 to help Year 7-10 students who are living in City West Housing homes to further their education.

Individual grants of up to $1,000 will be made to support educational needs including maths and English tutoring, school uniforms, school camp, guitar and dance lessons, and the costs associated with participating in sports such as basketball and football.

What a great investment in our young residents’ futures and a way to ease cost-of-living pressures on their parents and carers!

Head of Housing Services and Community Engagement Mark Reader said: “We were really struck by the merit of the funding requests and the real difference that relatively small investments will make to students not falling behind at school and being able to participate fully in school activities.”

Thank you to asset contractors SR Construction for their financial support for Aspire.
