City West Housing partners with International Association for Public Participation

City West Housing is supporting the International Association for Public Participation (IAP2) call to the United Nations to create an International Year of Engagement towards the achievement of the 2030 Agenda on Sustainable Development and its framework of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in building more inclusive and engaging societies. CWH supports the call to help build awareness and focus attention on other aspects of an enabling environment, build capacity for engagement, and help support the achievement of the SDGs. CWH will be included as a supporting organisation in the IAP2 proposal to the United Nations calling for An International Year of Engagement.

We are delighted that Lisa Sorrentino is joining our team in Pyrmont as Head of Development this week helping us to continue making affordable housing for people on very low to moderate incomes a reality in Sydney. Prior to joining City West Housing Lisa worked on urban renewal projects at Urban Growth NSW and also previously worked at Stockland in apartment delivery and business development.

The Lord Mayor of Sydney, Clover Moore and CEO of City West Housing, Leonie King today (Tuesday 15 May) turned the sod on the housing provider’s new Ross Street development.

Together with local elders and existing tenants who live locally in City West Housing affordable rental homes, Councillor Moore and Leonie King officially marked the start of construction for the development which will create 75 affordable homes in Harold Park, Forest Lodge.

SecondHand Saturday is back on 2nd June 2018 from 10am to 2pm at Quarry Green Ultimo. 

SecondHand Saturday is a community garage sale event promoting reusing, recycling and caring for the environment. It enables Ultimo and Pyrmont community members to sell, swap or give away pre-loved items, and also provides a space for locals to meet and connect with their neighbours.
